Successful Co-Parenting and Divorce Seminar
The Successful Co-Parenting and Divorce Seminar, for separated, divorcing, divorced and never-married parents, is a 4-hour, interactive seminar designed to educate parents on how effective parenting, during the transition of divorce and parental separation, can lessen the negative impact on children. It emphasizes the critical role you play in your child’s ability to adjust to the changes and each parent’s responsibility to provide a nurturing, non-threatening environment for the child.
Whatever stage of separation or divorce you may be in, our seminar will offer you tools and information to demonstrate common co-parenting challenges and solutions. You'll learn: (1) how to keep your child out of the middle, (2) how to allow your child to love both parents, (3) how to work on your own recovery, (4) how to develop new communication skills, and (5) how to create a positive new relationship as co-parents.
All divorcing parents with children under 18 years of age are required by Tennessee state law to attend a parenting education class prior to the divorce being finalized. However, many parents, including those who were never married, attend voluntarily and have found the information on co-parenting to be very helpful.
Currently, the seminar is a first come first serve walk-in basis on Saturday.
